1. Our Zero Surveillance Ethos
At JP Media, we build "Technology with a Conscience." We believe your privacy is a fundamental human right, not a commodity to be harvested. We do not sell, trade, or monetize your personal data. We collect only the absolute minimum amount of information required to provide our services and operate our hardware.
2. Information We Collect
- Direct Communications: If you request a quote, apply for a partnership, or email us, we collect your name, email address, and project details solely for the purpose of communicating with you.
- Client Services: For clients utilizing our app, web, or e-learning development services, we securely store necessary project assets, billing information, and contractual data.
- Hardware & Prototypes: Devices like S.A.S.H.A. and TrueVoice are explicitly designed for Edge Computing. This means they process tracking and biometric data locally on the device itself. We do not intercept or store this data on our cloud servers.
- Community Platforms: Public platforms (like the Weatherything Station Global Map or PARKetplace) only display data that users explicitly opt-in to share publicly.
3. How We Use Your Data
Any data we collect is used strictly for:
- Providing requested client services or issuing accurate quotes.
- Fulfilling e-commerce orders (e.g., East Coast Chaga).
- Providing technical support for our hardware and software ecosystems.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may use secure, trusted third-party processors (such as Stripe for payments or Firebase for specific app hosting environments), which are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection laws.
5. Your Rights
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA), you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion of your data. To exercise these rights, simply email us.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions about how we handle your data or our local-processing hardware architecture, please contact us at:
