1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website of JP Media, engaging our client services, or participating in the testing/use of our hardware prototypes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using our site or services.

2. Client Services & Development

For clients engaging JP Media for App Creation, Website Design, or E-Learning Solutions, the scope of work, timelines, payment schedules, and intellectual property transfers will be governed by a separate, legally binding master services agreement or statement of work provided prior to the commencement of the project.

3. Experimental Hardware & Prototypes

Many of the products showcased on our site (including but not limited to The Road Owl, S.A.S.H.A., TrueVoice, and Myco-Communicator) are active Research & Development (R&D) prototypes.

  • "As-Is" Condition: These devices and software are provided "as is" and "as available" for testing, evaluation, and conceptual demonstration.
  • No Guarantee of Safety: Hardware such as The Road Owl (situational awareness) and S.A.S.H.A. (canine telemetry) are designed as assistive tools. They are not replacements for safe, attentive driving, proper visual confirmation, or responsible pet supervision.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JP Media, its founders, engineers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our website, client services, or R&D hardware prototypes. This includes, but is not limited to, property damage, personal injury, loss of data, or loss of an animal while utilizing our tracking equipment.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, underlying code, hardware schematics, PCB designs, and product branding (unless otherwise stated as Open Source) displayed on this website are the intellectual property of JP Media. Unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, or commercial distribution of our R&D concepts without a formal partnership agreement is strictly prohibited.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
